After a recommendation from another local School, Spectre were called in to advise on securing the perimeter at a Nottingham Primary School to help with safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

Parents were driving into the busy School Carpark and putting children at risk of contact with vehicles and taking up space where staff should be able to park, the perimeter of the School also had two pedestrian access points that needed considering too for safe and secure disabled and buggy access.

Spectre specified, tendered and were chosen as the best value solution and during the summer break installed a Paxton Net2 Access Control system linked to a new Came Automated Traffic Barrier, pedestrian guardrail fencing and the two existing gates were also automated with intercoms and access control which were then linked to the School reception for staff to control. Authorised visitors and staff have fobs to control the new barrier and gates, which can be programmed to open at certain times of day and for specific events. Custom signs and roadmarkings were added to guide and warn visitors and staff.
